Jane Street veteran joins Jito Foundation as Chief Commercial Officer
On April 7, 2025, Thomas Uhm, former Head of Institutional Crypto at Jane Street, officially announced joining the Jito Foundation as Chief Commercial Officer. Thomas has spent >20 years deep in the weeds and is well-suited to help drive institutional adoption.

SOL Strategies
On April 3, 2025, the Jito Foundation announced a Node Operator partnership with SOL Strategies, a leading infrastructure provider that’s actively building and investing in the Solana ecosystem. The integration allows LPs to earn staking, MEV & LP rewards from having JitoSOL as a base asset. Read the announcement thread linked above.
Swissborg
On April 4, 2025, Swissborg announced that SOL was replaced with JitoSOL in their Best Blockchains Crypto Bundle.
M^0
On April 8, 2025, M0 Foundation announced the launch of their stablecoin platform. M0 is the first stablecoin platform that supports a network of issuers of multiple interoperable stablecoins. As part of the launch strategy, JitoSOL/wM Kamino vault depositors will be eligible to receive 5k JTO per week in incentives, provided by the Jito Foundation.
Governance
JIP-16
After going live on April 9, 2025, JIP-16 “TipRouter and StakeNet Adjustments for Priority Fees" successfully passed with 12,766,088 Yes votes and 251 No votes. This proposal sets up a major upgrade to the TipRouter NCN that will now distribute Priority Fees alongside Jito MEV tips through the new Tip Distribution Account v2 (TDA v2).
TDA v2 cleanly separates MEV tips from Priority Fees while still routing both through the same merkle-verified distribution process. Everything gets settled trustlessly via TipRouter every epoch.
